NEWS RELEASE – Bridge Housing appoints AAHS for vital compliance work

Australian Affordable Housing Securities Ltd (AAHS), one of the largest approved participants managing compliance under the National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS), had recently added 153 properties to its compliance management portfolio.

Leading Sydney community housing organisation, Bridge Housing (www.bridgehousing.org.au), has selected AAHS to manage the NRAS compliance of 153 seniors’ units in Glebe.

Bridge Housing’s CEO, John Nicolades, said it made perfect sense to appoint AAHS to manage the NRAS compliance of these properties given the AAHS’ track record and expertise in this space.

“From our experience with AAHS over the years, the organisation consistently manages the NRAS compliance exceptionally well, without any hiccups and considerably reducing our compliance costs and burden,” said Mr Nicolades.

“We chose AAHS to do this important work because of their experience and continued success in compliance management.”

Bridge Housing’s mission is to improve lives and strengthen communities through the provision of housing and services for low to moderate income households. The units in Bridge’s Elger Street property are fulfilling that objective, providing 153 affordable housing apartments to seniors within the thriving Glebe community. These dwellings increase Bridge Housing current portfolio to 2,200 properties, a further 1200 properties added by August 2019 through the NSW governments Social Housing Management Transfer

“We’re excited to be appointed by such a wonderful organisation like Bridge Housing to provide them with our specialised NRAS compliance management services,” said Samantha Evans, AAHS CEO. “This appointment is real confirmation of the excellent service that the AAHS provides.”
