Stuart is an experienced Non-Executive Director, venture capital investor and independent corporate advisor. He has over 20 years' experience in strategy, M&A and corporate finance (debt and equity). Stuart commenced his career qualifying as a chartered accountant, before moving into investment banking and transitioning into governance.
Stuart brings to his boards a number of qualities including:
- Strategy: ability to actively participate in strategy discussions, including contributing to the development of management thinking and assumptions
- Finance: ability to engage with the CFO on a ‘peer basis’ in relation to financial reporting, capital structure, treasury and investor relations. Experience of mentoring and acting as a sounding board/sanity check for the CFO
- Corporate Transactions: ability to provide seasoned guidance to companies undergoing corporate transformation, including the commercial and financial risks associated with M&A, post-M&A integration, IPOs, divestments, refinancing and managing transactions involving private equity
- Sector diversity: ability to contribute experience, trends and themes from multiple sectors including FMCG, healthcare, transport & logistics, packaging and financial services (legacy and disruptive)
